The Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali was flanked by the Vice Chancellor, Dr John Senyonyi, and the Deputy Vice Chancellors, Finance and Administration, Academics, and Development and External Relations. Archbishop Ntagali thanked the sportsmen and women for their achievements which he said bring honour to the university and market it. He also urged them to use the sport to spread the gospel.

The sports coordinator, Cornelius Engwenyu, said that it was an honour for them to be visited by the chancellor.

“It is an honour that the Chancellor came to visit. It shows that there is growing interest from the community and top management towards sports,” he said.

The chancellor, who was on a two-day visit to the university, was entertained by displays ranging from basketball to netball, football and volleyball.
